Later contestant John is returning from a previous episode where it's determined he should've actually won... and then even in this match something sorta screw-y happens that leads to him losing and he's very clearly NOT happy about it. - (8-29-91) Rob vs. Amy [BUZZR/CC-2/A+]
- (8-30-91) Bob vs. Amy (Finale, though not mentioned by Alex or anyone else, and honestly I wonder if they even knew at that point. Marjorie does a contestant plug and Alex makes mention of the champion returning on the "next show", multiple times in fact, and even tells the final losing contestant that they only have one strike against them. Alex and Marjorie have a weird "are you gonna be back next week?" discussion yeah, but they always have weird joke-y chats at the end of these episodes so I don't think I fully buy that they knew it was the final episode at that point. I do wonder if it was already known that they were going to take a few weeks off to air reruns and I wonder if the original plan was the show was going to return with new episodes after that. I just don't buy them knowing it was the final episode, unless they figured they were going to have new life on another network or something from the fact that they still do the contestant plug. Frankly though, I'm leaning towards they didn't know nor did they get any indication of the show getting cancelled until after taping) [BUZZR/CC-2/A+]

Contestant Marci is a delight with her weird obsession with The Brady Bunch (president of the Fan Club and everything), but her yelling and screaming gets to jokingly be too much for Alex so he sticks cotton in his ear, and in a bizarrely great running gag the cotton increases in size as the episode goes on!!) Later contestant John is returning from a previous episode where it's determined he should've actually won... and then even in this match something sorta screw-y happens that leads to him losing and he's very clearly NOT happy about it. Alex in a Santa hat at the end overrules all though) [BUZZR/CC-2/A+]
- (12-26-90) Jim vs. John (John loses again, due to making a very minor mistake, and oof, he doesn't even say anything when Alex sends him off. Dude was clearly real pissed off and it makes for some awkward television) [BUZZR/CC-2/A+]

- (7-8-91) Emily vs. Don (Ripped from YouTube. July 1992 NBC Daytime repeat. Contestant Emily is weird enough that Alex advises that she appear on Family Feud instead!! And then later contestant Chuck makes Alex think everyone is crazy) [RPT/CC-1/B+]
